Creating the first Private bank experience in East Africa.

Commercial Bank of Africa repositioned themselves to target the discerning and well-travelled African individuals. The challenge was to create an iconic, African symbol of success. We redesigned everything starting with strategy, through to the environment around the brand purpose of “Get more out of life”

The rebrand allowed CBA to become Kenya’s first Private bank experience. In Kenya CBA won the Marketing Society of Kenya best private sector CI award & best integrated campaign for 2012. The logo has been widely circulated and commented on design blogs. It was selected for Design Trends 2011 by Logo Lounge, and won a gold in the NY Creativity Annual awards.

When Private wealth merge with millennial aspirations.

Fast forward 12 years and, the newly created NCBA became the 3rd largest bank in Kenya when NIC and CBA banks merged. Everything for the the new bank was created from the brand purpose “Inspiring greatness”, which include a brand manifesto video and the “go for it” pay-off line. Inspiring angles in the visual language captures the pioneering spirit, attitude and essence of a go-getter.
